Safety Cover Pool Opening
BEFORE WE ARRIVE, THE FOLLOWING MUST BE PROVIDED BY THE HOMEOWNER:
- Do NOT lock Gate, turn on garden hose and equipment power (Turn Breaker ON). All pool accessories must be available. (Skimmer Basket, Jets, Salt Cell, Ladder etc)
- If you are a new homeowner, please do not hesitate to call the Service Department before book.
WHAT WE WILL BE PERFORMING AT YOUR POOL OPENING:
- Remove winter cover
- Rinse the cover off
- Fold the cover and place it back into your bin or mesh bag (if you have provided one)
- Re-install pool fittings and accessories
- Connect plumbing and equipment
- Rinse waterline
- Start water circulation (provided that the water is at operating level and water access is available)
- Starting up Electrical Gas Heater
- Add chemical
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED:
- Vacuuming the pool ($260 plan)
- Balancing your water chemistry
- Starting up or turning on the OLD gas heater
- Adding water or algaecide to the lock-in cover bins

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
- Lock-in Covers:
You must store your lock-in cover in a proper container and fill the container with water. Add approximately 500ml (1L) of concentrated algaecide. DO NOT STORE THESE COVERS DRY OR DAMAGE WILL OCCUR. - Saltwater Pools:
Salt chlorinators will not start generating chlorine until the water has been tested & balanced with salt levels in range, or until the water temperature has reached and maintained 70 F (21C) or higher. - Pool Heaters:
The lighting of pool heaters needs to be done by licensed gas fitters (due to Technical Standards Safety Authority (TSSA) and in accordance with CSA regulations. We can refer you to a licensed professional that can clean, service, and ignite your heater for a nominal fee. - Timing of The Booking:
The timing of the pool opening is an “open window”. Our technicians will be sending a message when they’re on the way to your property. We may be late or reschedule due to weather and traffic conditions.
